Angular contact ball bearings have raceways in the inner and outer rings that are offset in relation to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. These bearings are designed to accommodate combined loads and reach high speeds. The contact angle α is defined as the angle between the line joining the contact points of the ball and the raceways in the radial plane, and a line perpendicular to the bearing axis. The load carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings increases with the increasing of contact angle. Angular contact ball bearings are generally used in pairs or even more with spacers.
